I do not label myself “fit” or a “fit mom”. Honestly I would probably be a disgrace in the Fit community. I do not have a passion for working out, I only eat healthy as a choice because I actually enjoy the food but offer me brownies, wings or a burger I will not think twice about it I’M EATING IT! I have sloppy form, I don’t push myself to add more weights and I complain about cardio… I suck at being fit! If anything I consider myself to be a more active person. I am an active mom. I enjoy hikes, swimming and the outdoors. In order to do all that fun stuff it helps to be in decent shape.
So you are probably asking why do I even workout or if you follow me on social media you are probably wondering why half my posts are me working out. Here are the reasons I work out besides it looking cool on IG (totally kidding) : I want to be healthy for my kids and future grandkids, I want to look good in a bathing suit, and I want to encourage my kids to be active.
I get a lot of people telling me I inspire them to work hard and become fit. It is flattering I’ll admit that but I just want to put out there that I am not a fit mom. I’m an average active mom that struggles with the healthy lifestyle like you. I do not know what I am doing but I do it. It doesn’t come naturally to me and I debate everyday if I should workout or skip. Should I go out and get a burger or suck it up and eat some chicken and broccoli. If I can do it so can you. Find a gym partner that encourages you. Go to your health nut friend for advice and take it! Ignore the negative comments you may get from social media. You don’t have to have a passion for it to work, you can be an average like me and still be able to achieve your body goals!
